Helping a friend to digitize his old mixtapes I decided to start digitizing mine as well, so I picked up the first one, a mixtape of 1996 a great compilation of Trip-Hop, Jungle, Drum n Bass and Break Beat, that back in that days a good friend made me believe he had been the one that had made this selection, I was really impress by his talent to create such a cohesive mixtape, it described a defined mood of sadness, so I named it Musica Triste, just because it got melancholic vibe along the tracks, searching for the name of the tracks (Kazam for Iphone is a great app to get this work done)I discovered that my friend was not the one responsible for create such a perfect compilation instead it was a whole 6th album on the series of Rebirth of Cool, called On Higher Sound. I always had the feeling that my friend's mixtapes were too perfect but anyway I called him today to tell him thank my friend for the best mixtape I've ever had.
Big friday night, here we go, London Acid house Kerowack (duo of Dan Gerber & Saul Good), are one of the few modern electro DJs that gets me really excited about the direction of of house music plus this retro-rollerskating music video of Dirty Bumf is brutal some sort of hypnotic sequence. two more tracks to complete this post are the Naf Monk that unfurtunate for some reason the extended mix doesn't work as good as the mix for the video, but still a decent track, and the lastone just because I'm programing myself to happen so I met U in Miami
For all the shoe-fetish people including myself, The official video for Tiga’s ‘Shoes’ directed by Alex & Liane off of his new LP Ciao!. Thumbs up for Soulwax and their production of the whole Ciao! During the prohibition in the 20th century and right in the Cotton Club in New York, Swing music was born as an approach to play in a Jazzy way rather than a style of its own, but it soon surpassed it's initial origins. Swing music became ... synonymous with swinging, dancing and moving!
50 years latter swing is reborn thanks a new electronic trend, much of Swing's original excitement has been reinvented and remixed in this era. The Swing was created to dance, and now its electronic vibe increases its power and energy to seduce a new audience.and get them dancing on the floor, so hip hip chin chin start the rhythm session
After Superstylin' I became quite a fan of the big beat UK duo Groove Armada, Always fresh and generous in the bass, and this year release "Drop The Tough" I just love it plus the video is the ideal party I want to be in tonight, here there are only two remixes of this song. The funny thing is, I haven't even get the original track. It's impossible to find. as a bonus the Rich Girl of the Virgins delightfully mixed by The Twelves. I wish you all heavy party tonight.

If anyone has notice notice blogger has been deleting some of my posts, and I don't get it, music is about love and love is for sharing in freedom, the only reason I keep posting in this blog is because I love music and I want to spread this love for music to friends and anybody who visit this blog, so I'm considering moving Pause N Rewind to a more friendly and relax space, but anyway let's focus on what really matters... Friday afternoon, has been raining all day and the fog has already started to cover the city and I can't think in anything better to soundtrack this friday but some dense minimal by the Swedish duo Sebastian Mullaert and Marcus Henriksson aka Minilogue. Here're some of their latest excursion into "head" territory. (I needed demanding concentration to decipher these tracks.)
Like a fisherman gathers fish with his fishing pole. I'm a mellow man catching tunes with my music soul.
